Maria and Kimberly a week before delivery.
Early on October 5, Maria and Ryan leave for the hospital.
Nana stays to babysit Kimberly.
At 3:14 PM, Luke enters the world.
Maria decides to keep him.
Luke takes a look at his mama and is very pleased.
It's been a rough day for both Maria and Luke but
they are both given a clean bill of health by medical staff.
Ryan holds his son and speaks to him gently.
Kimberly is introduced but she's not so sure
about the bundle that is taking up space
in her mama's arms.
Luke meets "Pa."
....and Aunt Allie arrives first on the scene.

Uncle Eric holds Luke.
Eric will be Luke's godfather at his baptism.

Nana holds Luke...and has a hard time letting go.
Maria reminds Nana that Luke goes home with her.
Kimberly gets used to the idea of a little brother.
Luke tries to tell his visitors that he is tired and hungry. He needs some time alone
to get to know his mama. Nana takes the hint and reluctantly returns him.
Kimberly pats his head and prepares to go home with daddy.
